Auction Coordinator

We are looking for an organized candidate with exceptional attention to detail to manage our silent furniture auctions and the sale areas of our warehouse. Candidates must be available to work 30+ hours at our office on weekdays during regular business hours (8:00am - 4:45pm). Our perfect candidate thrives when working independently and has a general knowledge of furniture terminology.

Pay Rate and Benefits

  • Starting pay for this position is $20 to $25 per hour based on experience and aptitude - candidates with interior design/inventory management experience will be eligible for the higher end of the pay range. Benefits such as insurance and paid holidays are available to employees after 3 months of full-time employment. We offer a fun, dynamic work environment with therapy dogs at the ready every day!

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Completing item inventory (includes taking detailed item descriptions, accurate measurements, and quality photos of items)

  • Maintaining organized item spreadsheet

  • Managing incoming auction items and sale areas of the warehouse

  • Monitoring the overall state and size of each auction to help determine sale schedules

  • Coordinating on-site item pickups by customers, including facilitating transactions and handling disputes with customers

  • Completing and maintaining post-sale transaction records

  • Periodically facilitating private auctions for clients, including off-site inventory and leading model teardowns

‪Requirements

  • Ability to work actively on foot (standing, stooping, lifting approximately 40 lbs, etc.) in the warehouse for hours at a time (required)

  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (required)

  • College degree or some college (preferred)

  • Mac proficiency and furniture knowledge are huge assets!

  • Must have reliable transportation and smartphone with internet access
